Concrete Finisher - Experience Required

Description:Thomann Asphalt is a family-owned full-service asphalt paving company. Thomann’s extensive experience has kept the paving contractor in business for 100 years. The Company’s primary focus is on commercial and industrial paving and site work projects in both the private and public sectors. We specialize in parking lot maintenance, including paving, patching, seal coating, crack sealing, drain work, and site work, which includes a full complement of grading, excavating, and utility installation services. We are currently searching for an experienced Concrete Finisher to join the team!Essential FunctionsPerforms a variety of tasks involving manual labor for concrete projectsClean and prepare job sites, dig trenches, set braces to support form workUnderstand and execute concrete procedures to meet the specifications of the projectSetting forms that hold concrete in placePouring, smoothing, and leveling concrete using a rake, trowel, float and screedEnsure poured concrete is laid and finished to the highest standard.Operate equipment as needed.Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position does not have supervisory responsibilities.Work EnvironmentThis job operates primarily in an outdoor work environment, in all weather conditions.Physical DemandsThe employee is frequently required to stand and occasionally climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must be able to push, pull, move and lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to climb and descend a flight of stairs as needed.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Extended hours, nights and weekend work may be necessary based on business needs.
