HVAC Development Engineer

Job Description Company DescriptionFHP Manufacturing, located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is a joint venture between Robert Bosch (BOSCH Group) and Carrier.FHP Manufacturing is a leader in the production of geothermal and water source heat pumps, providing some of the most efficient heating and cooling comfort solutions in the industry.Job DescriptionEstablish validation Test Plans for HVAC units, Specifications, Reliability testing and perform the tests in lab per the established planSupport build of all IPM and FARR simulation models for the new and legacy products by providing necessary inputsRaise Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and track their progressCreate component specifications to support resourcing and procurementUL & AHRI Regulatory knowledge and application to products testing and specification (AHRI, UL, ETL)Product development based on customer requirements and current or future regulations and transferring those requirements down to component levelTest prototypes, write development test reports and document results according to company rulesOversee product development tasks including testing, assembly & manufacturingCommunicating development and test validations results timelyEstablish & Deliver development test engineer tasks per planned Project Milestones and scopesOwnership to resolve technical problems or prompt response to address issues and escalate as neededBe a team player within cross function teams, understand multidiscipline needs (Engineering, Marketing, Assembly, Logistics, Purchasing etc.) and support them as neededAdhere to Safety & Security ProtocolsFollow-up on Test Plans, Ratings, Durability and ReliabilityQualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering disciplines (Mechanical / Mechatronics preferred)Min 1-3 years' experience (preferably within HVAC)Proficient in Microsoft OfficeHVAC System Optimization Experience (Flow, Efficiency, Capacity)Additional InformationExperience in some of the following areas is a plus:Strong organizational & interpersonal skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsDesign experience with CAD tools (e.g., NX, AutoCAD)FEA and / or CFD Analysis ToolsExperience with technical risk assessment tools (e.g., FMEA, DRBFM)Data Analysis (Excel, Programming languages, etc.)Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability / veterans  *Bosch adheres to Federal, State, and Local laws regarding drug-testing.
