Financial Planning Analyst

FP&A AnalystLocated in: Garden City, NY We are seeking a talented FP&A Analyst to join our team in Garden City, NY. This role plays a critical part in driving financial insight, strategic decision-making, and performance management across the business unit. Reporting to the DVP, Business Unit Controller, the FP&A Analyst will partner closely with senior leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, capital investments, and business growth initiatives.What You’ll DoCoordinate consolidation and reporting of business unit financial performanceAnalyze and explain key variances versus budget, forecast, and prior yearMonitor and communicate trends in KPIs including revenue, gross margin, expenses, and working capitalSupport monthly/quarterly close, forecasting, and reporting activities across facilitiesLead development and enhancement of financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and operational planningImplement and maintain business intelligence tools and dashboard reportingPrepare financial analyses for capital investments, acquisitions, and business improvement initiativesOversee planning and coordination of the annual consolidated budget processAssist with SOX 404 compliance and quarterly control testingPrepare and support financial presentations for Division and Executive LeadershipParticipate in business unit site visits and operational reviews as neededWhat We’re Looking ForEducationBachelor’s degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA or Master’s degree preferredExperience5+ years of experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and accountingManufacturing industry experience preferred3–5 years of leadership or management experiencePublic company and M&A experience preferredTechnical SkillsStrong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX 404 requirementsAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, modeling), PowerPoint proficiencyExperience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Business Central)Proficiency with financial consolidation tools (HFM) and analytics platforms (Power BI)Soft SkillsExcellent communication and presentation skillsAbility to confidently present to senior and executive leadershipStrong analytical mindset with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines Travel 10%–20% (business unit site visits, operational reviews)If you thrive in a fast-paced, analytics-driven environment and enjoy partnering with leadership to drive business outcomes, we’d love to hear from you.#GRP2Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledBenefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
