Full-Time Business & Management Instructor

DescriptionIowa Western Community College is seeking two full-time Business/Management instructors to join our team. The ideal candidate holds an MBA in Business (or a closely related field), has at least 12 graduate credits in accounting, and is prepared to teach a variety of business and management courses in multiple modalities, including face-to-face, hybrid, live virtual, and online asynchronous. Iowa Western uses Canvas as the learning management system.One position will be based at the Council Bluffs campus. The second position will likely teach primarily face-to-face courses at the SWITCH and Glenwood regional centers the first year, which serve rural dual-enrolled students in career and technical education programs. Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to student success and an engaging, student-centered teaching approach.Full-time faculty teach a 5–5 load, with opportunities after the first year to teach summer and Winterim courses, as well as overload assignments of up to 21 credit hours during the fall and spring semesters for additional pay. Faculty are off contract during the summer and for approximately 2–3 weeks in the winter. All new hires must attend Reiver Week during the first week in August to prepare for the first year of teaching.
