Store Manager (2–3 years of management experience)
Position Summary: The Store Manager brightens every moment through excellent customer satisfaction in the management and leadership of all store personnel. The position is responsible for the entire store operations including the deli. Duties include interviewing, selecting, training, and directing the employees, along with management responsibilities, including purchasing, inventory, budgeting, accounting, and banking. The Store Manager is on call and must have a working telephone.
Essential Functions:
Provide superior customer service by greeting and assisting customers, and responding to customer inquiries and complaints
Hire, train, and evaluate store personnel, promoting or terminating workers when appropriate
Direct and supervise employees engaged in sales, inventory-taking, reconciling cash receipts, and in performing services for customers
Monitor sales activities to ensure that customers receive satisfactory service and quality goods
Responsible for accuracy and integrity of inventory, monitors inventory, stock, and reorder when inventory drops to specified level
Maintain cleanliness and image of the store
Instruct staff on how to handle difficult and complicated customers
Schedules store personnel, reviews time cards weekly, edits as needed
Responsible for merchandising the store according to company guidelines
Responsible for timely execution of marketing promotions and price changes; plan and coordinate advertising campaigns and sales promotions; prepare merchandise displays and advertising copy
Responsible for daily bank deposits, ordering and picking up change orders and ATM funds, loading safe, ATM, etc.
Determines what is needed for merchandise, supplies, equipment, food service, and places weekly orders.
Responsible for scanning in orders/vendors and building relationships with the vendors
Responsible for managing store’s labor budgets
Enforce safety, health, and security rules
Examines merchandise to ensure it is correctly priced and displayed and that it functions as advertised
Responsible for maintaining fuel pricing compliance standards to ensure competitive street pricing. Duties include changing fuel price sign and the registers.
Review inventory and sales records to prepare reports for management and the accounting department
Examine products purchased for resale or received for storage to assess the condition of each product or item
Implement policies, goals, objectives, and procedures for the store
Confer with company officials to develop methods and procedures to increase sales, expand markets, and promote business
Follow all company policies and abide by all government standards, including Department of Health, Department of Labor, and other applicable agencies
Perform work activities of subordinates (Team Member, etc) such as cleaning and organizing shelves and displays and selling merchandise as needed
Perform other related duties as assigned
