Millwork drafting manager

A2Z Millwork Design LLC is an AWI Gold Partner in Austin, providing millwork drafting, 3D modeling, and estimation to manufacturers, general contractors, and architects. You will produce the shop drawings our clients build from. Working under the Project Manager, you will turn architectural drawings and specs into accurate, fabrication-ready millwork drawings that meet AWI standards. *What you will do* * Produce shop drawings, elevations, sections, and details for architectural millwork and casework * Build 3D models and renderings for client review and approval * Prepare submittal packages that meet AWI Quality Standards and project specifications * Generate cut lists, hardware schedules, and fabrication documentation * Incorporate redlines, RFI responses, and change orders into revised drawing sets * Coordinate with the Project Manager and estimating on scope and materials *What you need* * 2+ years of CAD drafting experience in millwork, casework, cabinetry, or a related trade — or completion of a CAD, drafting, or architectural technology program with demonstrable drafting ability * Proficiency in AutoCAD or an equivalent CAD platform * Ability to read architectural drawings and specifications accurately * Understanding of cabinet and millwork construction methods, materials, and hardware * Attention to detail and willingness to work to established drafting standards *Nice to have* * Microvellum or Cabinet Vision experience * Working knowledge of AWI Quality Standards * Revit, SketchUp, or 3ds Max; or a certificate or degree in drafting or CAD technology *Location and schedule* In person at our Austin office, Monday to Friday, day shift.
