We are full-service event planners at off-site events and at our historic, exclusive venues: Glen Foerd on the Delaware, Bartram's Garden, and the Pearl S. Buck Estate.Our approach is simple: we use the best ingredients available and deliver a completely personalized experience.Overview:This hourly position entails a full range of preparing and cooking of foods, packaging of foods, and assisting in breaking down returning jobs. Some cleaning is required. Reports to Sous Chef and/or Executive ChefResponsibilities:Prepares, cooks, and packages foods for catering events by following standardized recipes and standard operating proceduresAssists in stocking, organizing, and inventorying food storage areas - dry goods, walk ins, freezersAssists with the full cycle of shipping foods to off-site catered events pulling food items, packing, and breaking down returning partiesFollowing cleaning schedules on a daily, weekly, and monthly basisAssists with dishes and other general kitchen tasks as neededAssists with developing new menu items and new standardized recipesMay be required to participate in catering eventsRequirements:Culinary degree or equivalent professional experienceFundamental understanding of sanitation, cleanliness, and personal hygieneAbility to follow written and oral instructionsAbility to read and write - EnglishRegular, predictable, and dependable attendanceRequires moderate physical efforts - standing, carrying, bending, stretching, stooping, pulling, and pushing, lifting of weights up to 50 poundsServ Safe and/or Food Handlers CardWorking ConditionsWorking conditions involve noise, heat, changes in temperature, kitchen elements, odors, moisture, etc.May be required to work additional hours as dictated by the work load and staffing.Must be willing to work weekends and holidaysJob Description ChangeEvery effort has been made to make this job description as complete as possible.
