Technical Project Manager
**CURRENTLY** must live within 30 miles of Portland, OR**Must have:2+ years of project management or estimating experience in commercial low voltage or construction.Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite.Understanding of technical drawings, project specs, and system integration.Strong communication, presentation, and reporting skills.A reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, smartphone, and home internet.Ability to travel for on-site support as needed.High school diploma required; college degree preferred.Clean record due to gov CCTV projects. Preferred - Experience in commercial physical security (CCTV, Access Control, Alarms).Prefer to have:Either an OR LEA or WA EL06 license. Preferably both.Project & Client ManagementLead pre- and post-sales meetings to define scopes, timelines, and expectations with commercial clients.Run technical kickoff meetings, daily recap calls, and professional client communications.Maintain high-touch client relationships, ensuring satisfaction from project design to implementation.Conduct site walks and provide on-site technical support during key installation phases.Interface regularly with field teams and client leadership to ensure alignment.Mitigate and assist with customer escalations professionally and promptly.Project Planning & ExecutionDevelop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, schedules, and milestones.Utilize tools like Trello to track project status, tasks, and dependencies.Mitigate Change Orders and draft if required, resolve issues, and monitor project expenditures.Coordinate cross-functional teams, including subcontractors, installers.Lead procurement efforts for materials and equipment.Support permit acquisition, inspections, and quality assurance.Assist with Service Call estimates and coordination.Estimating & Technical DesignAnalyze project specifications, labor needs, materials, and site-specific challenges.Prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates for physical security and low voltage systems (e.g., cameras, access control, alarms).Collaborate with clients and internal teams on technical design needs.Assist sales teams by providing installation plans and accurate estimates during proposal stages.Evaluate client budgets and ensure alignment with scope and deliverables.Field & Office OperationsProfessionally conduct site walks with key client shareholders and prospects.Serve as a technical resource during client meetings and job site visits.Confirm Project Coordinator orders materialsMaintain consistent documentation, reports, and updates on project progress.Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project deadlines.Evaluate performance across all project phases, ensuring alignment with company objectives.Core CompetenciesMust work well with others in a heavy team environment.Detail-Oriented: Obsessed with accuracy and documentation.Customer-Focused: Delivers client satisfaction through proactive communication and expert guidance.Independent & Self-Driven: Thrives in a remote-first, field-capable role.Technically Competent: Able to understand, explain, and implement complex technical systems.Adaptable: Comfortable navigating dynamic environments with shifting priorities.
