This role involves delivering compassionate care to patients ranging from newborns to the elderly, ensuring their rehabilitation goals are met effectively.Essential ResponsibilitiesAdhere to organizational mission, vision, and values while maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.Foster strong communication and professional relationships with patients, families, healthcare team members, and external agencies.Perform duties within the scope defined by certification boards and departmental policies.Assess patient needs accurately and develop, implement, and update comprehensive care plans.Educate patients on physical therapy processes and exercises to support recovery.Complete timely and precise documentation following established protocols.General ResponsibilitiesPerform additional duties as assigned to support department goals.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position does not include supervisory or management duties.Education and ExperienceEducation meeting licensure requirements at the time of issuance.Preferred: Previous experience in a similar clinical environment.Licenses and CertificationsCurrent Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license from the appropriate state board.Valid BLS/CPR certification from an approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation.If driving is required, a valid driver's license and auto insurance meeting regional requirements.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesBasic understanding of Occupational Therapy principles.Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.Proficiency with basic computer applications.Physical RequirementsThis role involves medium physical work, including occasional lifting up to 50 pounds and frequent standing or walking for 26-50% of the workday.
