Therapist

Position Summary The Therapist is a key member of the clinical team at the Providence House Family Preservation Program (FPP). This role is primarily responsible for providing therapeutic services and parenting support to adults and children in the residential program. In addition, the Therapist offers outpatient services to Medicaid clients and conducts clinical assessments and evaluations for Department of Child Services (DCS) referrals. Essential Responsibilities Provide individual, family, and group therapy for adults and children in the residential program. Deliver parenting education and coaching to parents residing at Providence House. Collaborate with fellow clinicians in a team-based approach to case management and treatment planning. Offer outpatient therapy services for Medicaid clients. Conduct Clinical Interviews, Diagnostic Assessments, and Attachment & Bonding Assessments for DCS referrals. Maintain an average caseload of 17–20 hours of direct service per week. Participate in Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings for residential clients. Attend a weekly 2-hour clinical treatment team meeting and a weekly 1-hour All Staff Meeting. Meet with the Executive Director for monthly individual supervision related to clinical work with residential clients. Complete all service documentation within 7 calendar days of the date of service. Submit monthly progress summaries for FPP clients by the 5th of each month. Qualifications Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field. Current professional licensure or license-eligible in the State of Indiana and in good standing with the applicable licensing board. Valid driver’s license. Willingness to learn and implement the Providence House Treatment Model. Willingness to be trained in and apply Conscious Discipline®. Must successfully complete and maintain all DCS-required training and background checks. Strong communication, organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment. Working Conditions Work is primarily conducted on the Providence House campus, including offices, playrooms, group rooms, and residential homes. Frequent use of stairs to access therapy spaces throughout the campus. Regular communication with the Executive Director, staff, and clients; must be able to exchange accurate information in both clinical and administrative contexts.
