Family Resource Manager

Access Foster Care and Adoption is looking for a compassionate and organized professional to guide prospective foster families through their full onboarding journey; from the moment they reach out to final home approval.As a Family Resource Manager, you’ll support, educate, and engage foster families every step of the way. You’ll conduct orientations, background checks, and home studies, while also building ongoing relationships with our current foster families through events, trainings, and regular support.You’ll work across both the Delaware Valley and Lehigh Valley regions and play an important role in helping match children with the right foster families. This position partners closely with our Recruiter, Community Liaison, and program teams to ensure a collaborative, family‑centered approach that reflects our mission at Access Foster Care and Adoption.Essential FunctionsManage foster family orientations and complete home studies, including written recommendationsConduct required background checks for prospective foster and respite providersMaintain accurate and up‑to‑date electronic records for all applicants and approved familiesStay in regular contact with prospective providers to keep them engaged throughout onboardingKeep foster family records current in the electronic health record system and ensure all compliance requirements are metActively participate in the referral and placement process by:Reviewing referralsCommunicating with countiesContacting foster families to assess potential matchesCompleting placement paperworkComplete annual home re‑evaluations for foster families in both the Delaware Valley and Lehigh Valley regionsPerform monthly internal audits of foster family files to ensure ongoing compliancePartner with leadership to plan and support foster family events, activities, and trainingsWork with the Administrative Manager to ensure families remain informed and compliant with clearances, trainings, and program expectationsAttend community events and assist with recruiting new foster and respite familiesProactively share onboarding progress, data, and metrics with internal program teamsTrack applicants and providers through all onboarding milestones and enter data accurately into database systemsManage onboarding and training for both new and existing foster and respite familiesCollaborate with the Community Liaison and Recruiter to review applicants and anticipate program needsTrack and evaluate onboarding trends, outcomes, and key performance indicators on a monthly basisWork closely with the Community Liaison and operations teams to grow and support the foster family networkStay current on program regulations and compliance requirementsRequirements and QualificationsEmployees must meet all qualifying and ongoing job criteria including background checks, physical examination results, and clearances.Driving Requirements: This position requires regular driving during the workday throughout the Lehigh and Delaware Valley regions.To be eligible, candidates must:Possess a valid U.S. driver’s licenseHave reliable access to a personal vehicleMaintain an acceptable driving record in accordance with Access Services’ Motor Vehicle PolicyBe willing and able to drive as part of regular job dutiesSuccessfully pass all motor vehicle record checksEducation: Bachelor’s degree in a related field including human resources, business administration, social work, and/or other related human services degree required.Experience: Two (2) years of related experience required, preferably focusing on onboarding, customer service, and customer engagement. Experience in a social services or nonprofit sector preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Keen attention to detail and appropriate sense of urgency.Excellent organizational and oral/written communication skills.Ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff and the general public.Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities and direct and prioritize own work and be flexible.Ability to effectively interact as part of a team.Ability to develop positive, creative, and programmatic goals.Knowledge of applicable regulations for foster care homes.Exceptional customer service and engagement skills.Proficiency in, or ability to learn and use, workplace applications, platforms and technologies and ability to navigate network drives and basic hardware.Essential Working Conditions/Physical Demands: Work in program sites and the community routinely providing direct care and/or support with individual(s). Stand, sit or run by self, or to provide proper care and supervision with an individual. Able to move and stay with an individual to keep them safe, both in home environment and community, both at near and far distances, even when an individual may struggle to meet identified expectations. Able to assist an individual who has fallen, regardless of weight or size. Walk, climb stairs by self, or to provide direct care and/or support. Work in a standard office environment. Utilize desktop computer equipment on a daily basis. Able to lift or move items associated with sedentary work and light work (exert up to 20 lbs.) Travel to offsite locations and regional office locations if necessary.Compensation, Schedule, and Benefits: Schedule: 40 hours/week during general business hours (M-F 9AM-5PM), with the ability to be flexible as needed for evening or weekend events.
