Materials Manager (m/f/d)

The Materials Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all materials-related activities including purchasing, inventory control, logistics, warehousing, and material flow to support production and customer delivery requirements. This role ensures the right materials are available at the right time, in the right quantities, while maintaining cost efficiency, safety, and compliance. The Materials Manager partners closely with production, engineering, quality, and finance to drive operational excellence.Key accountabilities: Develop and execute material planning strategies to support production schedules and customer demandLead purchasing, inventory control, receiving, shipping, and warehouse operationsEnsure accurate inventory levels through cycle counts, physical inventories, and ERP system controlsManage supplier relationships, including performance, lead times, pricing, and quality expectationsMonitor and control inventory turns and obsolete materialLead coach, and develop materials, warehouse, and logistic team membersParticipate in cross-functional problem solving and root cause analysisIdentify opportunities for improvement in the quality process, implement new methodologies, and monitor their effectiveness.Attend training sessions regularly to continue professional growth and developmentYour profile:Bachelor's degree in business, supply change management operafinance, economics, supply chain or related field5+ years of experience in pricing, demand planning, revenue management, or commercial analyticsStrong analytic and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex data setsProficiency in excel and data visualization tools; experience with ERP/CRM systemsExcellent communication and presentations skills
