In the absence of the Security Manager, the Security Officer may receive instructions from the Director of Operations, General Manager, or Event Manager on duty.This role pays an hourly rate of $19.00-$21.00Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching.This position will remain open until May 1, 2026.The St. Charles Convention Center is the finest full-service convention center in the Greater St. Louis metropolitan area. Containing over 154,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, including 83,000 square feet of exhibit space, the SCCC is the perfect place for events up to 3,000 attendees. Located mere minutes away from St. Louis Lambert International Airport, the St. Charles Convention Center is surrounded by multiple hotels, Historic Main Street, and the Streets of St. Charles, giving versatility to your commute and experience at St. Charles Convention Center.Immediate point of contact when clients arrive BOHPrepare dock, ramps, BOH spaces being used prior to move-ins, manage traffic in those areasKeep track of/check-out of UVCC equipment like carts, brooms, vacuumsUnderstanding of client/vendor/exhibitor locations to be able to provide directionsFast communication with other teams that aren't immediately present if client/vendors have needs (AV, set changes, technical issues, equipment requests)Can provide/start paperworkManage vehicle & truck traffic in lot, ramps, roundabouts, give directions. Keep traffic moving (load/unload procedures w/ vehicles), prevent guests from being towed/ticketedManually attend parking, barricade/reserve parking when neededManage checkouts for access key cards for access to elevators, event rooms, entrances/exitsOperate service elevators to facilitate move-ins. Can lock out elevators when neededSecure UVCC prior to arrivals- clear POIs and keep clear during times building is mostly emptyHigh visibility during any scheduled times.
