Student intern- pharmacy

Mission Cancer + Blood, part of University of Iowa Health Care is seeking applicants for Pharmacy Student Intern positions.*Located In: *Des Moines, IA*Position Responsibilities Include:*Document and provide services consistent with established policies, procedures, regulatory, and accreditation requirements including but not limited to USP 797 and USP 800.Sterile compounding of medications requested for clinic and infusion services.Perform inventory maintenance activities.Generate and/or maintain appropriate records related to Prescription & patient-specific order sterile compounding.Perform activities involving narcotics and controlled substances.Maintain area orderliness and perform weekly and monthly cleaning responsibilities.Assist in on-the-job training of new technicians.Coordinate technical activities with other members of team.Assist pharmacist to facilitate pharmaceutical care to patients including but not limited to patient counseling, medication reconciliation, and clinical follow-up that is within scope of practice.Complete and maintain compliance with all competencies and education requirements.*Position Hours:*Average 10 hours per week (up to 20 hours/week during classes, up to 40 hours/week over breaks)Primarily 3–5-hour shifts M-F between 0700-1800Some limited weekends and holidays may be available or requiredPreference for availability to work over summer and holiday breaksWork schedules are based on availability outside of class schedule*Required Qualifications: **Minimum Eligibility Requirements*Currently enrolled as a P1-P4 student at Drake College of PharmacyMust be enrolled as intern or pharmacy technician, trainee with Iowa Board of Pharmacy prior to commencement of employment.Please email your CV to madison-koppin@uiowa.edu.
