It requires using advanced techniques in individual and family support sessions, all under the direct supervision of the Team Supervisor and the Program Director.What You Will DoAssist the Team Supervisor and Program Director with:Conducting assessmentsPreparing treatment plansMonitoring school attendanceOffering school supportProviding case management as appropriateMust have a high level of autonomyPossess moderate to complex job skillsDemonstrate strong written and verbal communication skillsAssist the Team Supervisor with:Managing a moderate case loadEnsuring timely and accurate paperwork and file informationManaging interactions with clients, co-workers, interested parties, and supervisorsMaintain a moderate range of internal and external contactsFacilitate large groups and manage varied group dynamicsArrive at work on time and ready to workAdhere to EEO compliance and maintain a workplace of dignity and respectWork cooperatively in a group/team settingShow respect to othersTake guidance and direction from supervisorsAbide by the core values and mission statement of the agencyProficiency in Microsoft toolsProvide case management and support services to assigned truant clients and their families, including:Determining eligibilityIntake, assessment, evaluation, and referralProviding transportationMonitoring school attendanceSchedule and conduct client visits at convenient locationsSchedule and conduct informal and formal contacts with individuals who have information about or an interest in specific clientsMaintain contact with assigned schools that initiate truancy/ungovernable referralsComplete documentation related to case management services, including:Contact notesAssessments, testing, screening, intake forms, interview notesCorrespondence and statisticsConduct client and family support and education sessionsServe as an advocate for clients, including:Staffing cases in the Truancy Arbitration processInitiating CINS/FINS petitions to the court as necessaryRepresenting YFA and/or the child in courtMaintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, DCF, DJJ, and other agency guidelinesComplete client follow-up according to established guidelinesHandle crisis calls from clients and non-clientsMake presentations about YFA, programs, services, and related issuesParticipate in meetings and work sessions related to service provisionProvide input on changes/enhancements to programs and servicesParticipate in staff meetings (when available)Conduct community outreach programsParticipate in required trainingsComplete other tasks as assigned to ensure clients receive necessary services and administrative tasks are completedPerform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or Program DirectorLocation: This position will be based in the Pasco County area.
