Activities Assistant

Job Title: Activity Assistant Overview: Join our team as an Activity Assistant and make a difference in the lives of seniors at our assisted living facility. We are seeking a compassionate individual with a passion for enhancing the quality of life for our residents through engaging activities and programs. Duties: - Plan, organize, and lead recreational activities for seniors, including games, crafts, outings, and social events. - Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed. - Collaborate with the recreation therapy team to develop and implement engaging programs. - Support memory care initiatives to enhance cognitive abilities and quality of life. - Maintain a schedule of activities ensuring timely execution and participation. - Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to promote a positive and inclusive environment. Qualifications: - Experience in senior care, nursing home, or assisted living settings is preferred. - Knowledge of ADLs, recreational therapy, social work, or caregiving is a plus. - Strong organizational skills for effective schedule management. - Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with seniors. - Passion for working with older adults and promoting their well-being.
