Injection Molding Technician

The Injection Mold Technician will perform setup, start-up, shut down and maintenance of foam molding machines and auxiliary equipment. II. Essential Job Functions: Manage mold changes according to Kanban system, setting dies for required runs and troubleshooting injection machines and mold issues. Effectively manage the set-up, processing and operation of up to three (3) injection mold machines. Perform daily operation and maintenance of injection mold machines, mold changing equipment and other assigned equipment. Responsible for all mold and color changes. Utilize Toyota Production System (TPS) techniques to standardize current/new processes and methods, reduce process variation, identify waste, and methodically eliminate waste. Be proactive in predicting abnormalities and finding innovative solutions to correct. Participate in frequent evaluation of machines, tools, equipment, etc. to analyze problems.
