Location: Gaithersburg, Maryland (On-site)Clearance: Must be eligible for a NIST site badge; U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency requiredJob Type: Full-timeContract Type: Government Contract (Base Year + 4 Option Years)Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Software Developer / Database Specialist to support the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Center for Nanoscale Science and Technology (CNST) NanoFab in Gaithersburg, Maryland. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining the System for Project Management (SPM), managing the Virtual Database (VDB), generating custom reports, and providing database development support across the CNST application suite.The ideal candidate is a mid-to-senior level developer with strong Java and SQL skills, experience with enterprise reporting tools (Jasper Reports, Birt), and proficiency in Python and Django. This position requires the ability to work with complex database architectures, write sophisticated SQL queries, and support data integration across multiple systems.This is a non-personal services contract position.
