We are not interested in remote employment or consultant drafting services. We are seeking an Architectural Production / Construction Documentation Specialist to join our team. This is an ideal role for someone who understands how buildings go together and is looking for meaningful work in a creative, flexible, professional office environment.We are open to applicants from architecture, drafting, construction, estimating, shop drawing, or related building-industry backgrounds. Previous ArchiCAD experience is a plus but not required. We are more interested in finding someone who understands buildings and is excited to learn. You will work closely with our project team, consultants, and clients to develop thoughtful, buildable solutions that meet project goals and project budgets.Responsibilities · Support the project team through all phases of design and documentation.· Assist in developing design, permit sets, and construction documents. · Attend site visits to gather information, assess conditions, contribute to project coordination with consultants and contractors, and ensure compliance with design specifications.· Create and maintain architectural drawings, construction documents, and 3D models throughout the design and documentation process incorporating redlines and revisions· Coordinating consultant information into drawing packages· Assisting with material research and product coordination· Helping ensure drawings are clear, coordinated and buildable· Participate in ongoing learning related to construction methods, materials, detailing, and architectural technology. Learn and grow within a supportive studio culture that values mentorship and design curiosity.Qualifications·  Foundational knowledge in Architecture with the ability to translate concepts into clear drawings and models, or comparable experience in the construction industry is preferred.·  Passion for custom residential, light commercial, and occasional heavy industrial architecture.·  Demonstrated record of strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.·  Working knowledge of architectural drafting and an understanding of building construction, building codes, and regulations are a plus.· A collaborative attitude and drive to grow professionally.· Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality in all aspects of work.Experience with some of the following is highly valued · Construction sequencing· Assemblies and waterproofing concepts· Framing logic· Plan reading· Detailing coordination· How field conditions affect design decisionsYou may beAn architectural designer or drafterA carpenter / estimator ready for a career shiftA cabinet / millwork / steel detailing professionalA building products technical repA permit technician or plans examinerA former construction PM seeking better work-life balanceBenefits· Simple IRA with company matching· Health insurance (currently with HSA eligibility)· Paid time off and seven paid holidays.       Application requirements· Resume & cover letter with three professional recommendations in support of your candidacy.
