Welder (MIG / TIG) | 1st Shift | Overtime AvailableWe are hiring an experienced MIG/TIG Welder to join our growing manufacturing team.This is a great opportunity for welders looking for steady production work, job security, and consistent hours, while continuing to refine advanced welding skills.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform MIG and TIG welding on carbon and stainless steel pressure vesselsComplete high-volume, repetitive production welds with precision and consistencyRead and interpret blueprints and welding schematics to meet exact specificationsPlan weld sequences, joint prep, and proper fit-up for pressure vessel fabricationExecute pipe welding, butt welds, and coupling weldsUse welding positioners to perform interior and exterior weldsAlign, level, and square components to ensure tight, high-quality weldsGrind, deburr, and prep materials for welding and final assemblyInspect welds for quality, penetration, and compliance with standardsSafely operate material handling equipment to move parts and assembliesMaintain a clean workspace and follow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelinesRequired Skills & Experience5+ years of professional welding experience in manufacturing or fabricationStrong experience with MIG welding (GMAW) and TIG welding (GTAW)Experience welding carbon steel and stainless steelAbility to weld using positioners (interior/exterior vessel welding)Proficiency reading blueprints and technical drawingsExperience with pipe welding, pressure vessels, and structural weldingAbility to perform fabrication tasks (grinding, fitting, deburring)Skilled in using hand tools, measuring tools, and inspection equipmentStrong attention to detail and ability to produce consistent, high-quality weldsPreferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)Experience in sheet metal or structural weldingStick welding (SMAW) experiencePrevious production or manufacturing welding environment experienceWhy This Welding Job Stands OutStable, long-term career opportunity with consistent workloadWork on specialized products like pressure vessels and filtration systemsOpportunities for pay increases based on performance and skillTight-knit team environment where quality workmanship is valuedPredictable schedule with optional overtime (not mandatory)Work Schedule & Environment1st Shift: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PMOvertime available on FridaysClean, organized welding shop within a large manufacturing facilityWork with MIG/TIG machines, welding positioners, and fabrication equipmentTeam-focused environment with a strong emphasis on quality over speedJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bedford Park, IL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
