Here, you're not just coming to work, you're helping create a home.Compensation & BenefitsPay: $27–$29/hrPaid Time Off (PTO)Health, Dental, and Vision insuranceCalSavers Retirement ProgramEmployee Referral Bonus ProgramGrowth and advancement opportunities ScheduleNOC shifts available32–40 hours per weekWeekend availability required Key ResponsibilitiesSupport residents with daily living needs (grooming, bathing, hygiene, communication)Assist with medication administration and follow the Seven Rights for verificationSupervise residents during community and recreational outingsPrepare meals and ensure home cleanliness and sanitationRecord data and maintain files in compliance with Title 17, Title 22, and program designUse Nonviolent Crisis Intervention skills to manage challenging behaviors (assaultive, SIB, property destruction, PICA, etc.)Advocate for residents and uphold respectful communication with all partiesAttend required trainings and staff meetingsMaintain professionalism, safety, and adherence to all regulations Required QualificationsMinimum 6 months of experience providing direct support to persons with developmental disabilitiesStrong communication skills with a positive, respectful attitudeMust pass a health screening and TB testAbility to work weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as requiredFor RBTs: Active RBT certification (with BCBA supervision) Title 22 requirements also apply:Minimum age of 18High school diploma or GEDCPR and First Aid certificationValid CA Driver's License with a clean driving recordDOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance Physical & Environmental RequirementsThis position requires the ability to perform the following essential functions in a dynamic behavioral health environment:Assist residents during community outings or facility navigation, which may involve walking or moving quickly up to 1–2 miles per shift.Stand or walk for extended periods, including at least 1 continuous hour, to monitor and engage with residents.Lift, carry, or transfer up to 25 lbs., such as resident assistance aids or supplies, as needed for daily care.Apply approved Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) techniques to manage behavioral incidents, which may involve physical redirection or restraint.Respond quickly in emergencies, including running short distances or assisting with resident transfers, to ensure safety.Use a computer or tablet for documentation and care plan updates for up to 1 hour at a time.Safely operate a 6–8 passenger van to transport residents to appointments or community outings, requiring a valid driver's license and compliance with state driving regulations.
