Job Title: Ramp AgentDepartment: Ground OperationsLocation: Miami International AirportReports to: Ramp Supervisor / Station ManagerJob SummaryThe Ramp Agent is responsible for providing safe and efficient ground support services to aircraft, ensuring timely operations and passenger satisfaction. This position involves loading and unloading baggage and cargo, guiding aircraft in and out of gates, and performing essential safety checks.Key ResponsibilitiesMarshal aircraft during arrival and departure using standard hand and light signals.Load, unload, and sort passenger baggage and cargo with care and efficiency.Operate ground support equipment including belt loaders, tugs, and de-icing equipment.Conduct visual safety inspections of ramp areas and equipment.Maintain communication with flight crews and ground personnel via radio.Handle and tag luggage according to airline and TSA regulations.Assist with aircraft pushback and towing procedures.Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and operational procedures.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.Ability to lift up to 70 lbs regularly.Must pass background checks and obtain airport security clearance (SIDA badge).Available to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.Previous ramp or airline operations experience preferred but not required.Ability to work in all weather conditions.Skills & AbilitiesStrong teamwork and communication skills.Attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset.Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.Problem-solving ability under time constraints.Work EnvironmentOutdoor, airport ramp/tarmac environment.Exposure to noise, jet fumes, weather conditions, and physical labor.Requires wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).Global Crossing Airlines provides equal employment opportunities to all team members and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
