Position: Azure Cloud Engineer MidDuration: 12/31/26Location: RemoteInterview Process: 1 technical panel interviewDESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND TASKSStatement of Work:As TriWest's hybrid cloud and cybersecurity services partner, the managed services provider is responsible for the delivery of the TRICARE Managed Care Support (MCS) T-5 contract. The provider's scope is to deliver hosting, platform engineering, infrastructure automation, managed operations, and security and compliance of the T-5 environments in Microsoft Azure for Government (MAG).Phase 1A tasks will align with the base period/implementation effort. During this implementation period, the tenant infrastructure is created in the MAG regions to support the T-5 applications. By the end of Phase 1A, the T-5 applications will have been deployed by TriWest and approved for production go-live to support Start of Healthcare Delivery (SHCD). The T-5 applications will be hosted in the MAG Arizona region.As the managed services provider, the organization provides infrastructure managed services and automation supporting TriWest's DevSecOps. Cross functional agile teams will be formed and integrated with the TriWest development teams to deploy approximately 50 T-5 applications in Azure GovCloud during the base period of the contract to meet SHCD.Categories of infrastructure managed services include billing/metering, network administration, service desk support, system administration, cloud engineering, security operations, security event management, security compliance, security engineering, incident response, and service catalog.Role:Azure Cloud Engineer MidRole Description:The Mid Cloud Engineer role requires strong knowledge and experience leveraging Microsoft Azure Cloud platforms and technologies. The role also requires experience designing, developing, and implementing multi hybrid cloud environments using automation tools and technologies.The Mid Cloud Engineer will be part of the Hybrid Cloud Services (HCS) team, providing solutions for complex mission critical systems and offering Tier 2 and Tier 3 support. The candidate must have a solid understanding of Azure Cloud Services.This role also requires experience in requirements gathering and analysis, providing consultative solutions to customers, and designing well architected frameworks in Azure.Position Requires:5 years of experience with the following:Providing technical leadership and overall accountability for successful management and implementation of customer projectsImplementing well architected/best practices for availability, scalability, and disaster recovery; solutioning multi cloud application environmentsDeveloping automation and DevOps using cloud native and agnostic tools (e.g., Azure Bicep, ARM, PowerShell, Blueprints, Lambda, Terraform, Ansible, Python)Software defined networking with cloud native and marketplace tools (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet)Configuring and integrating Azure native monitoring to achieve observabilityKey Skills:Advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis to expedite incident resolutionEvaluating hardware and software requests; researching and recommending solutions that meet or exceed customer requirementsCloud configuration management, policy management, and security compliance experienceLevel of Experience & Preferred Education:5+ years of experienceBachelor's degree OR associate degree with 2 additional years of experience OR high school diploma with 6 additional years of experienceNice to Have Skills:Cloud integration with OEM APIsCloud native security tools and security complianceLeading technical teams of three or more individualsServiceNow experienceIT service management (ITSM) best practicesAPI integration with ServiceNow Event Management
