Creative Content & Video Intern

About UsThe Narrative Vintage is a women-owned, direct-to-consumer vintage brand founded in 2020 and based in Brooklyn, New York. We specialize in curating distinctive pieces from the Edwardian era through the 1990s, thoughtfully sourced and presented through story-driven collections. At the heart of our brand is a deep reverence for history and individuality. Every garment we release is personified as a character, honoring the life it once lived, the time it represents, or the person it belonged to. Whether commemorating a cultural moment or paying tribute to someone who has passed on, each piece becomes a living part of the story we’re telling. We believe beautiful clothes already exist in the world. Our mission is to preserve, reimagine, and reintroduce them to a new generation of characters who see fashion not only as self-expression, but as a bridge to the past. We find the pieces worth knowing, so you can wear the ones worth keeping.Creative Content & Fashion InternLocation: Brooklyn, NY (Hybrid)Start Date: ImmediatelyTime Commitment: Minimum 20 hours per week; flexible scheduling, including weekendsCompensation: College credit offered; unpaid to start, with potential for a paid or freelance roleInternship OverviewAs a Creative Content & Fashion Intern at The Narrative Vintage, you’ll gain hands-on experience across all areas of the vintage fashion business, from social media and marketing to styling and event support with a strong emphasis on video content creation and editing for social media and collection campaigns. We’re seeking a highly creative, self-starting intern who can confidently concept, film, edit, and post engaging video content & assist in the development of a video series, while also contributing to the broader creative and marketing initiatives that shape our brand presence. You’ll play a vital role in growing our digital presence and visual identity by creating fun, engaging, and story-driven content across platforms and supporting the behind the scenes work that brings our campaigns and events to life.A Typical Day Might Include:Filming, editing, and posting video content, alongside static posts for TikTok and InstagramConcepting and executing video campaigns for collection launches and seriesCreating behind the scenes, styling, educational, and storytelling contentAssisting with social media calendars and marketing campaign executionResearching trends, audio, and influencer collaborationsSupporting photoshoots through styling, creative direction, and content captureDesigning materials for pop-ups, emails, and editorial campaignsAssisting with event planning, setup, and on-site content captureContributing to daily brand operations and special projectsWhat You Bring to the Table:Passion for vintage, storytelling, and brand-buildingStrong video filming and editing skills (Reels, Tiktok, short-form storytelling)Proficiency in Inshot/Capcut, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar editing toolsFamiliarity with TikTok, Instagram Reels, and evolving social trendsCreative eye for styling, photography, and visual storytellingDetail-oriented, highly organized, and proactiveA “no task is too small” entrepreneurial mindset with strong communication skillsComfortable balancing creative execution with operational supportCurrent college student or aspiring fashion/media professionalBased in NYC or able to attend in-person shoots and events occasionallyAdditional Details & Perks:1:1 mentorship with The Narrative Vintage FoundersOpportunity to contribute creative ideas and see them come to lifeAccess to vintage pieces and occasional styling perksPotential to grow into a paid, freelance, or long-term roleTo Apply:Please email your resume and a cover letter outlining your interest in the position and relevant skills to shop@thenarrativevintage.com.
