About Midlife MD Midlife MD is a fast-growing telemedicine platform providing Illinois-licensed nurse practitioner and behavioral health capacity to healthcare organizations that need to scale quickly. We operate multiple telemedicine service lines, including: Weight management Primary care Behavioral health (therapy + medication management) We sell monthly telemedicine capacity blocks — not insurance-based services, not staffing, and not long enterprise contracts. The Opportunity We are hiring Business Development Contractors (1099) to secure large, fast-closing healthcare buyers that need immediate telemedicine capacity. This role is ideal for someone who: Knows healthcare operations Is comfortable with cold outreach Can close 30-day pilots Wants recurring, residual commission income This is not a recruiter role and not an enterprise hospital sales role. What You’ll Be Selling Monthly telemedicine capacity blocks Cash-pay Illinois-licensed providers Fast start (1–2 weeks) 30-day pilot → expand Typical deals: $15,000–$60,000 per month 200–800 hours of telemedicine capacity Expansion within 30–60 days Target Buyers You will focus on one or more of the following lanes: Weight Management Telehealth weight loss platforms GLP-1 clinics Obesity medicine practices Med-spa telehealth divisions Primary Care Virtual primary care startups Subscription primary care clinics Hybrid tele/in-person practices Employer-facing telehealth vendors Behavioral Health Psychiatry groups Telepsych platforms IOP / PHP programs Behavioral health practices needing therapy + med management You will sell capacity, not individual clinicians. Responsibilities Identify and contact decision-makers (founders, medical directors, heads of clinical ops) Conduct short discovery and close 30-day paid pilots Negotiate simple monthly coverage agreements Coordinate handoff to operations after close Expand pilots into ongoing monthly capacity You will not be responsible for: Provider recruiting Scheduling Credentialing Insurance billing Long RFP-driven sales cycles Ideal Background Required 2+ years of healthcare sales, BD, or staffing/services sales Comfortable with cold outreach and direct conversations Able to sell pilots and close quickly Strong communicator with physicians and operators Nice to Have Telehealth, staffing, or practice management experience Experience selling to clinics or founder-led healthcare companies Behavioral health or weight management exposure Success Metrics 10–15 high-quality buyer conversations per week 1–2 pilots closed per month Pilot expansions within 60 days Focus on deal quality, not volume Why This Role Is Different Short sales cycles (2–8 weeks) No insurance complexity No hospital bureaucracy Clear value proposition Recurring residual income Elastic provider supply (we can add capacity quickly) Pay: $45.00 - $65.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week Benefits: Flexible schedule Work Location: Remote
