Deliver exceptional post-anesthesia care as a skilled RN in a dynamic perioperative setting. In this contract opportunity, you'll play a critical role in helping patients transition smoothly from surgery through recovery, supported by a multidisciplinary team dedicated to safe and comprehensive care.Schedule/Hours:Shifts vary: 8, 10, or 12 hours (Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends/Holidays) across ASU and PACU units.On Call: 0-3 shifts/month, including 8-hour nights and 24-hour weekends/holidays.Candidates must arrive the Thursday before start to complete the required employee health appointment on Friday.Qualifications:Active RN license in HI required by start. Travelers without a current HI license must apply immediately upon offer acceptance.Minimum 2 years of experience as a critical care RN (ER & ICU experience may substitute for PACU experience).Valid BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.PALS certification recommended and may be required for specific roles.Additional specialty certifications (NIHSS, TNCC) are advantageous.Proof of flu vaccination or facility-approved exemption is required before starting; vaccination can be administered during employee health clearance.Strong ability to assess, monitor, and respond to complex post-surgical needs; critical thinking is essential.Responsibilities:Deliver attentive care to patients pre-op and throughout Phase I and II of post-anesthesia recovery.Monitor incision sites, body temperature, and vital signs for potential complications.Collaborate with the care team to ensure patient safety and comfort.Utilize hospital equipment including Meditech, PCA pumps, Pyxis, Braun IV pumps, Cryocuff, SCDs, Bair PAWS Warmers, HP and Phillips monitors.Respond efficiently to changing patient conditions in a fast-paced environment.If you thrive in post-anesthesia care and enjoy providing expert support through all phases of surgical recovery, submit your application today.
