Structural Engineer III

Job SummaryThe Structural Engineer III must possess a strong technical background and sound engineering judgement which will be applied in the development of structural steel and concrete design deliverables for a diverse range of projects, primarily in the industrial sector.Essential FunctionsActively supports the Company’s commitment to safety and its “Core Values”.Represents the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company’s “Code of Business Conduct and Ethics”.Works collaboratively in a team environment; interacts with individuals at all organizational levels in professional manner.Performs concrete and structural steel designs and analyses per project requirements and applicable codes (AISC 360, ACI 318, ASCE 7, IBC, e.g.).Prepares sketches and coordinates with Designers/Drafters in the development of 3D models and 2D design drawings.Assists in preparation of technical reports and specifications.Performs field activities, such as observing and documenting existing conditions and taking measurements in a variety of environments.May function as Lead Engineer, supervising designers and other engineering staff members, interfacing directly with project personnel and clients, and monitoring budgets and schedules.Performs other related duties, as directed.Occasional overtime and travel may be required.QualificationsBS or MS in Civil Engineering, specializing in StructuresProfessional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) registration preferred5+ years engineering experience, preferably in structural steel and concrete design of industrial facilities such as gas plants, liquid terminals, LNG facilities, chemical plants, and bulk material handling facilitiesKnowledge of strength of materials, mechanics, and structural analysisStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficient in the use of STAAD Pro or similar structural design and analysis softwareKnowledge of codes and standards relevant to structural steel and concrete design (AISC 360, ACI 318, ASCE 7, IBC, e.g.)Proficient in Microsoft WORD and ExcelFull-time employees are offered a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental and vision plans covering eligible employees and dependents, disability benefits, life and AD&D insurance, paid time off, an employee assistance program (EAP), a 401(k) plan with company match, an employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), a robust wellness program, tuition reimbursement and adoption assistance.
