Opportunity: RN - Cardiac Cath Lab Job Details: • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex • Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients in the cardiac catheterization laboratory • Must have 2 years recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience required • Call rotation required for nights and weekends • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments • Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures • Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations and intervene when necessary • Administer medications as prescribed and manage intravenous infusions and blood products • Interact with patients and families regarding care plans and discharge planning • Make referrals to appropriate personnel for patient care needs • Delegate tasks to support staff as needed • Required certifications: Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC), BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association) • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred • One year of nursing experience minimum • Strong verbal and written communication skills required Facility: This major academic medical center serves as a leading healthcare institution providing comprehensive medical services and advanced cardiac care.
