Role: Experienced Behavior SpecialistLocation: Assonet, MAPay: This full-time psychology position offers a competitive salary.Schedule: This full-time role entails a variable schedule to meet departmental needs. Candidates should be prepared to work weekends, holidays, and participate in an on-call rotation as required.Your Day-to-Day:In the role of Experienced Behavior Specialist, your day will focus on developing positive therapeutic environments that align with best practices in behavior analysis. You will provide on-site modeling, role-playing, and coaching to direct care staff to enhance their implementation of effective intervention strategies. Your responsibilities will include responding to behavioral emergencies to ensure the safety of students and staff, which may involve participating in physical restraint procedures when necessary. Additionally, you will assist with student appointments and off-site activities, facilitating individualized treatment and community integration. Collaboratively, you will engage with clinical teams in conducting preference assessments and functional behavior assessments, managing behavior data, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.Ideal Candidate:Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field OR equivalent combination of education, training, and experienceExperience working with people with special needs or in a residential care settingExperience in Positive Behavior Supports (PBS), Trauma-Informed Care, and ABA strategiesCPR, First Aid, and non-violent physical intervention certifications (must be obtained within 3 months of hire and maintained during employment)Active driver's license in the state of residence that is current, valid, and in good standingReliable transportationProficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to learn and use other software related to the positionIf you're a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), it's a plus!ABOUT OUR TEAM:Crystal Springs is a supportive residential facility focused on individuals with disabilities.
