Programming Supervisor✨✨ SmartHire is looking for a Programming Supervisor to work in Snohomish County for a client in the Aerospace/Manufacturing industry. This is a full time Direct Hire position. Ideal candidate will have 10+ years of progressive experience within machining, experience leading a team, advanced understanding of CNC machine tools, machining principles, tooling, work holding, setup methods, and manufacturing processes along with CAD/CAM software. Position: Programming Supervisor Salary: $125,000 - $150,000 DOE Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Holiday, 401k match, disability, profit sharing, free parking, recognition and referral programs and more Shift: Days Industry: Aerospace Programming Supervisor The Programming Supervisor leads the Programming Department and is responsible for developing accurate, efficient, and safe CNC programs used to manufacture high-quality precision components. This role establishes departmental standards, improves machining processes, manages priorities, and provides technical leadership to support production, quality, estimating, and operational performance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Provide overall leadership, direction, and day-to-day management of the Programming Department. · Develop, implement, and maintain standardized setup sheets, file structures, documentation, and departmental procedures. · Establish and document advanced work holding, tooling, and machining processes that promote safety, quality, consistency, and efficiency. · Assign and track programming priorities based on production requirements and customer commitments. · Evaluate workload and production needs to determine departmental staffing and overtime requirements. · Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve technical and production-related issues. · Support Quality with manufacturing datasets, model translations, and other programming-related technical needs. · Serve as a backup programming resource during periods of increased workload, staffing shortages, or urgent production demands. · Provide technical support to the manufacturing floor when unplanned production or machining issues arise. · Assist with job-cost estimating by evaluating programming, tooling, setup, machining, and labor requirements. · Identify and implement opportunities to improve throughput, reduce setup time, minimize scrap, and increase machine utilization. · Mentor and develop programming team members while promoting accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. · Ensure programming practices comply with applicable safety, quality, and documentation requirements. Qualifications · Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in machining, tool design, CNC programming, or a related manufacturing discipline. · Previous experience leading or managing a technical team in a manufacturing environment. · Advanced understanding of CNC machine tools, machining principles, tooling, work holding, setup methods, and manufacturing processes. · Demonstrated experience using CAD/CAM software and CNC equipment in a production environment. · Working knowledge of Mastercam, Siemens NX, CATIA, or comparable CAD/CAM platforms. · Proven ability to combine people, processes, and technology to improve quality, efficiency, and throughput. · Strong troubleshooting, planning, prioritization, and decision-making skills. · Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work across technical and operational teams. · Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, models, specifications, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing requirements. · Experience supporting aerospace, defense, automotive, or other precision-manufacturing operations is preferred.
