Director of Physical Plant- The Crossings

We are currently seeking a Physical Plant Director to be responsible for the oversight of the overall maintenance, repair, and operation of the building, grounds, equipment, and systems. Its a big place!The Crossings has close to 290,000 square feet of building space and sits on 19 acres. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities management, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for our residents, guests and staff. Other duties include: Developing, directing and executing preventative maintenance programs. Assuring compliance with local/state/federal regulations, including fire and life safety. Conducting audits and regular inspections, identifying needs and executing correction. Managing work order flow to meet resident expectations Assisting with the development and directing Fire Safety and Disaster Preparedness Evacuation procedures. Negotiation and management of vendor contracts/agreements, including ongoing relationships with vendors. Leads approximately 20 staff on the maintenance and housekeeping teams. Oversees work of contracted landscapers Frequent rounding of buildings and grounds while developing relationships with staff and residents. Rolling up sleeves and getting it done, sometimes after hours and on weekends. Qualifications Minimum of three years experience in a similar role (Maintenance Supervisor or Superintendent) leading facilities management in a large and complex setting with a strong acumen in Mechanical, Electrical, Life Safety, and Fire Protection Systems Proficiency with inventory control and expense control Commitment to MRC'sICARE values of Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.
