The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.ESSENTIAL DUTIES Assists the Head Dean in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and support services to meet the needs of students experiencing difficulties social-emotional, and/or behaviorallyMaintains oversight of assigned caseload and implementation of disciplinary and attendance systems per policies and procedures outlined in the student handbookParticipates and assists in the supervision of co-curricular activities and events as assignedAssists the Head Dean in developing and administering practices dealing with campus control, supervision, and security to assure the safety of students, staff and community members on campusMonitors and supervises parking lot securitySupervises student conduct in the school corridors and lunchroomsCommunicates the interpretation of school and district disciplinary systems, policies, and procedures to students, parents, community, and staffCoordinates communication with assigned PPS team regarding caseload to develop and implement social- emotional interventionsWorks with police liaison/department, community and governmental agencies on problems relating to drug abuses and truancy from schoolEstablishes and communicates the district’s and school’s values, mission and goals to staff, students, parents and communityAssists in planning, directing, and evaluating school improvement plans as approved at the building or district levelMonitors and/or enforces the rules and regulations for student conduct in a positive, collaborative manner, that promotes a safe, orderly and productive learning environment for staff and studentsPromotes and models positive interpersonal relationships and ensure aligned rewards for student progressPerforms such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the Associate Principal or Head Dean may from time to time assignReviewed: March 2025Revised: April 2026
