Our work ensures the safety, authenticity, and quality of products that impact everyday life.Job DescriptionThe Clinical Biochemistry Laboratory Group Leader is responsible for overseeing daily laboratory operations while remaining actively engaged in hands-on analytical testing. This individual will lead a team performing large molecule bioanalytical assays and ensure compliance with cGMP standards, data integrity requirements, and client expectations.This is a highly visible role combining technical expertise, team leadership, and operational oversight within a fast-paced clinical bioanalysis environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLaboratory & Technical ResponsibilitiesPerform benchtop testing of large molecules using ELISA, MCE, and iCIEF assaysMaintain laboratory supplies, reagents, and inventory levelsEnsure adherence to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) across all recordsCollect, process, and document raw analytical dataUtilize LIMS for sample tracking and result documentationConduct peer review of assay execution and dataCollaborate with data reviewers to resolve discrepancies or retesting needsMaintain accurate records in notebooks, logbooks, and electronic systemsSupport laboratory safety initiatives, including walkthroughs and compliance documentationLeadership & Operational ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and develop a team of laboratory scientistsManage daily workflow, scheduling, and team capacityOversee cross-training to ensure operational flexibilityMonitor and report productivity and quality metricsCommunicate effectively with internal stakeholders and client teamsParticipate in hiring, onboarding, and training of new employeesDeliver technical training and ensure ongoing staff developmentConduct safety walkthroughs and ensure regulatory complianceSupport overtime and weekend scheduling as neededQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)Minimum 1 year of cGMP experienceMinimum 1 years of leadership experiencem (professional or academically) Hands-on experience with immunoassays and electrophoresis techniquesStrong experience with quantitative data analysisProficiency with LIMS or similar data management systemsExcellent organizational, communication, and documentation skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to data integrityAuthorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorshipAdditional InformationWhat To Expect In The Hiring Process10-15 Minute Phone Interview with Region Recruiter45-60 Minute Virtual Interview with Manager and/or a Group Leader30 Minute Virtual Meeting with the Site Director Position is Full Time, Monday-Friday, First Shift, Monday through Friday from 8am-4:30pm.
