During this program you will learn to operate and repair complex production machinery and equipment. Typical duties include, but not limited to, learning to diagnosis, troubleshoot equipment failures, completion of preventative maintenance work orders, reading and understanding and predictive measures. This Program is divided into six parts and the total length of the program is dependent on experience. While working with various mentors you will follow a structured path to completion. Using quarterly reviews your progress in the program will be monitored by the training department to insure a cooperative learning environment.Essential FunctionsAttend and successfully complete all required trainings at Trident Technical CollegeWork with various employees to obtain requisite amount of on-the-job trainingComplete repairs on mechanical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems/componentsDiagnose and correct problems with PLC & CNC (Siemens) controlled machineryMaintain and repair a variety of production processes that include welding, balancing and assembly machines.Work in coordination with representatives from various machine builders and colleagues from GermanyInterpret and understand machine drawings and schematicsAssist in development of PM plansAssist in management of spare parts inventoriesPerform preventative and predictive maintenance tasks as requiredFollow strict safety procedures including “LOTO”Use various measurement equipment in connection with job dutiesPerform other duties as required and assignedAll employees are responsible for having an awareness and understanding of IFA North America’s commitment to ISO 14001, IATF16949 and our commitment to a safe working environmentEducationHigh School Diploma or G.E.DExperienceBasic math skills including addition, subtractions, multiplication, and divisionBasic knowledge of spatial geometry and trigonometryProven experience working in a team environmentFamiliar with local machinery codes and standardsAbility to adapt to changes in the work environment; Manage competing demands and change approach or method to best fit the situationExperience in a manufacturing environmentSpecific SkillsGood communication skills (oral & written)Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office softwareKnowledge of computerizes maintenance management systems (SAP and EMaint)Preferred SkillsAbility to read blueprints, fluid power and electrical schematicsPLC programming languages experienceRobotics (Epson and Fanuc) experienceCognex vision systems, Keyence sensors and lasers, Fanuc robotics and Promess measuring technology.Ability to read and speak GermanPhysical RequirementsMust be able to walk/move about a 500,000 sq ft manufacturing facility Must be able to stand/walk/move about specific work area Must be able to bend/reach/twist/stoop Must be able to lift up to 30lbs on a frequent basisMust be able to lift over 30lbs on an infrequent basis Must be able to sit at a work station Must be able to work and operate a computer terminal Vision is required to analyze and process work; and to work on computer terminal/machine centers, etc. Hearing is essential for safety reasons; and to communicate with employees, supervisors, managers, vendors, suppliers and customers via conversation, group meetings, and/or phone conferencesAbility and willingness to travel domestically/international as requiredAAP/EEO StatementIFA North America provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
