Our work involves modernizing currently fielded communications systems while developing/fielding next generation communications capabilities used by the United States military and international partners. Our primary areas of concentration include RF communications, networking, modeling and simulation, systems integration, systems engineering, and software developmentJob Responsibilities:You will leverage an understanding of wireless communications, networking, digital signal processing (DSP, modeling and simulation, or other similar technical disciplinesYou will apply hands-on skills such as utilizing RF laboratory test equipment, software defined radios (SDRs), and/or software skills such as MATLAB, C++, Python, SQL, Systems Tool Kit (STK) or similar modeling toolsYou will support various projects depending on your skills, development goals, and sponsor needs to provide the United States military and international partners the tools and capabilities they need to succeedPrevious internship experiences have included tactical waveform characterization and assessments, radio interoperability studies, propagation channel modeling, and various prototyping effortsBasic Qualifications:Sustained excellence in academic performanceMust be a student enrolled full-time in an accredited degree-seeking program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or a related degree and continue to be enrolled full-time the semester following the internshipDemonstrated interest in serving the publicPreferred Qualifications:Eager to learn new skills and technologiesYou have an interest in wireless communications, networking technologies, digital signal processing (DSP), systems engineering, or other similar technical disciplinesCourse work or experience in any of the following: wireless communications, signal processing, RF systems, satellite systems, waveforms, channel modeling, modeling and simulationThis requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of the following clearance(s):NoneThis requisition requires the hired candidate to have or obtain, within one year from the date of hire, the following clearance(s):SecretSalary compensation range and midpoint:$46,500 - $58,000 - $69,500 AnnualWork Location Type:OnsiteIt is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
