Accountant

DescriptionA well-established organization in Valley Center is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support full-cycle accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both day-to-day accounting responsibilities and higher-level financial analysis within a stable, community-focused environment.The Accountant will work closely with leadership to ensure financial accuracy, maintain strong internal controls, and support overall business operations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESAccounting Operations+ Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger+ Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations+ Support full month-end and year-end close processes+ Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting+ Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation+ Review and analyze financial data for accuracy and completeness+ Assist with audit preparation and external reporting requests+ Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as neededRequirementsREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES+ Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting+ Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies+ Strong organizational skills with attention to detail+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines+ Strong written and verbal communication skills+ Ability to work independently and within a team environmentQUALIFICATIONSEducation & Experience+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required+ 3-5 years of accounting experience required+ Experience in agriculture, manufacturing, or local business environments preferredSystems & Software+ Experience with QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems preferred+ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills requiredWORK ENVIRONMENT+ Onsite office environment+ Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods+ Occasional interaction with operational or field teamsRobert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
