The firm is committed to helping clients modernize existing buildings, develop new structures, and bring complex design concepts to life with precision and professionalism.Role DescriptionSCMW Solutions LLC is seeking a full-time Remote Structural Engineer to add to our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing structural calculations, analyzing and designing building systems, preparing component and cladding calculations, and collaborating closely with engineers, drafters, and project stakeholders.Your day-to-day responsibilities will include preparing structural analysis, developing design solutions, performing component and cladding design calculations, reviewing drawings, coordinating with drafting teams, and ensuring that all work complies with applicable codes, industry standards, and project requirements. You will contribute to a variety of structural projects, including residential, commercial, industrial, worship, educational, healthcare, and other specialized facilities.This position is ideal for a detail-oriented engineering professional who enjoys technical problem-solving, working independently in a remote environment, and contributing to high-quality structural design projects.QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have:Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, structural analysis, and component and cladding designWorking experience with engineering design software such as SAP2000(preferred), STAAD Pro, RISA, and Enercalc or Tekla TeddsWorking experience with Metal Building applicationsAbility to work effectively in a collaborative remote environmentStrong communication, organization, and time-management skillsStrong problem-solving abilities and close attention to detailBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering(Minimum 5 years Experience)Working knowledge with latest IBC (International Building Code) and ASCE7(American Society of Civil Engineers 7), AISC(American Institute of Steel Construction), AISC Seismic Provisions for Structural Steel buildings, AISI(American Iron and Steel Institute), ACI(American Concrete Institute).
