DevOps EngineerThis is a hybrid position with an expectation to be in our Fort Wayne, IN or Indianapolis, IN office a minimum of three days per week. This position does not qualify for relocation assistance. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position does not qualify for employment-based sponsorship.Position SummaryThe DevOps Engineer brings hands-on experience, best practices, and a collaborative mindset to help drive DevOps initiatives across the organization. This role partners closely with Development and Systems/Infrastructure teams to design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure solutions. The position focuses on automation, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and internal tooling to improve operational efficiency and software delivery quality across on-premises and cloud environments.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDeploy, maintain, and support critical applications across on-premises and cloud-native environmentsDesign, implement, and maintain secure automation solutions for development, testing, and production environmentsBuild and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as AnsibleImplement, support, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, and JenkinsMaintain source control, dependency management, and artifact repositories (Git, GitLab, Artifactory)Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support modern service-based architecturesApply industry best practices for system hardening, configuration management, and software securityIterate on deployment and automation processes to improve availability, reliability, and qualityDevelop and maintain internal tools to improve operational efficiencyPromote and sustain knowledge sharing and documentation across the engineering teamDefine, document, and improve development, test, release, update, and support processesMonitor systems, establish key performance indicators, and report progress to management and stakeholdersMentor and guide team members, promoting automation-first approachesWrite and maintain automation and scripting solutions using PowerShell, Bash, and other scripting languagesCoordinate and communicate effectively within the team and with internal customersEducation and QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer programming, computer science, information technology, or equivalent professional experience5+ years of hands-on experience working in the Information Technology fieldExperience with C#,.NET 8 (or higher), Java, and GitStrong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practicesExperience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, and JenkinsExperience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AnsibleFamiliarity with Docker and service-based architecturesKnowledge of container orchestration technologies such as KubernetesExperience with scripting and automation using PowerShell and BashWorking knowledge of Markdown and YAMLIntermediate-level knowledge of both Linux and Windows operating systemsAwareness of DevOps and Agile principlesFamiliarity with software security best practicesExperience with additional programming languages such as Python,.NET, or C++Experience working with automated testing toolsExperience with cloud platforms, with a strong preference for Microsoft AzureThe Company is an equal employment opportunity employer and is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to its applicants and employees.
