Teacher Middle School Science - Retention Eligible Bonus This position is for the 2025–2026 school year. Thank you for your interest.Description Educators MUST reside in AZ.Primary duties and responsibilities:Provide communication to students and parents on a weekly basis through a variety of tools: phone, messaging, text messaging, and emailsGrade student work within 24-48 hours of being submittedEvaluate student work by providing written comments on all submitted assignmentsPost a daily announcement in each course that motivates the students to participate in the daily lessonsManage the discussion board in each class to encourage participation and learning in the online classroomMeet weekly expectations as outlined in teacher training and the Teacher Expectations and GuidelinesParticipate in professional development and department meetings, as scheduledAssist with administering standardized assessmentsEstablish rapport with students/parents and encourage students to maintain attendance and academic expectationsDirect students to necessary resources including: teachers, tutors, admission's staff, guidance support, etc.Monitor and oversee student access to the Parent Student Portal and any other appropriate websitesProperly document issues, concerns, and important information concerning students/parents as they present themselvesAdditional duties as neededSkills/Abilities:Maintain a professional code of conduct, including but not limited to professional language, actions, and attireMaintain professional confidentiality of personal and private matters pertaining to students, parents, and co-workersAcknowledge and accept direction from leadershipDemonstrate willingness and desire to work and collaborate with students, parents, co-workers, and the general publicCommunicate effectively, both verbal and writtenMaintain positive and pro-active customer service in all aspects of communication, both internally and externallyPrioritize work and handle multiple tasks while working independentlyDisplay excellent planning and organizational skillsWork under pressure, pay attention to detail, meet deadlines, and deal with difficult situations while maintaining composure, professionalism, and a positive attitude.Take initiative to look at data analytically, showing excellent reasoning and problem solving skills as it relates to continuous improvement for professional and personal growthDemonstrate awareness and willingness to understand personal role and how it contributes to the success of other departments or functional areasEmbrace a culturally diverse environmentKnow and be proficient in Microsoft Office programsAdapt to change while conveying professionalismEstablish work priorities and work independently without supervisionEducation/Training:Highly qualified in the approved area of Middle School Science REQUIREDBachelor's Degree REQUIREDArizona Teacher Certificate REQUIREDTeaching experience at the middle school level REQUIREDStarting salary for teachers is $55,000 annually, excluding Prop 301 funding.
