Palmdale Regional Medical Center in the Antelope Valley in north L.A. County is recruiting a Program Director to lead our recently established, community-based Family Medicine residency program. Opportunity Highlights
Position includes Program Director, Teaching, and Clinical responsibilities
PD position is a .6-.7 FTE with the remainder in clinical practice
Clinical practice options include outpatient with our continuity clinic partner or inpatient as an FM hospitalist
Program started in 3 and will be at full 8/8/8 complement with next incoming class this summer
Responsible for continued program development and maintenance of accreditation in adherence with ACGME requirements
Oversee the quality of education, curricula, and experiential rotations
Lead the interview, selection, and evaluation processes of residents
Provide leadership, mentoring, teaching, and administrative oversight to residents
Partner closely with hospital and medical staff to ensure effective integration within the organization

Position Requirements
Current board certification by the ABFM or AOBFP
3+ years of recent PD, Associate PD or core faculty experience
Demonstrated ability as a leader, educator, and clinician
History of scholarly activities/research
Membership or committee work in FM professional associations
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
