What matters most is how we work together to build excellence. As a Sheet Metal Apprentice, you will:Assist in the fabrication, assembly, and installation of sheet metal duct systemsLearn to measure, cut, bend, and form sheet metal using hand tools and power equipmentInstall ducts, fittings, hangers, insulation, and air distribution componentsRead and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and layout plansSupport installation of HVAC equipment and air handling systemsLearn proper use of fabrication tools including brakes, shears, and plasma cuttersWork alongside experienced sheet metal journeymen and foremenAttend weekly CEF classroom training (typically evenings)Follow structured training milestones throughout the 3-year programMaintain safe work practices aligned with TDIndustries standardsProgram DetailsStructured 3-year apprenticeship combining paid field work with CEF schoolingCurriculum includes duct fabrication, air distribution, code requirements, blueprint reading, safety, and mechanical fundamentalsFull-time work with scheduled pay increases as skills progressAll hours and training count toward journeyman certification requirementsStrong opportunities for long-term career advancement with TDIndustries High school diploma or GEDInterest in sheet metal, HVAC systems, construction, or hands-on mechanical workCommitment to completing the full 3-year apprenticeship programAbility to work safely on construction sites in varying environmentsReliable transportation to job sites and CEF classesStrong work ethic, teamwork mindset, and willingness to learn new skillsWhy Join TDIndustries?Earn while you learn — competitive pay throughout the programTuition assistance for all CEF courseworkClear advancement opportunities after program completionSupportive mentorship from experienced TD sheet metal professionalsComprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO)A strong company culture focused on safety, development, and teamwork
