Job Description Paralegal - Family LawLocation: Memphis, TNWe are seeking a Paralegal to join our Memphis, Tennessee office. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, client-focused, and comfortable supporting attorneys in a fast-paced family law litigation environment.This is a hybrid position in Memphis, TN. The Paralegal will work closely with attorneys and staff to support clients through important and often sensitive legal matters. The right candidate must be dependable, professional, and committed to providing excellent client service.This position is ideal for a motivated professional who can work independently, manage an active caseload, and thrive in a fast-paced litigation environment. We are looking for someone experienced in all aspects of family law litigation who is professional, proactive, and has the ability to work with clients from all backgrounds with compassion and respect.Ideal Candidate CharacteristicsThe ideal candidate will have:A strong customer service mindsetA positive, professional attitudeThe ability to communicate with people from all backgroundsRespect for client confidentiality and privacyStrong organizational skillsA growth mentality and willingness to learnThe ability to stay calm and professional when clients are emotional or dealing with difficult family issuesReliability, accountability, and a team-focused approachA desire to be part of a law firm that values client care, professionalism, and excellenceCompensation:$21 - $24 hourlyResponsibilities:Manage family law cases from inception through trialDraft pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, and correspondencePrepare inventories and appraisementsOrganize and analyze financial records and discoveryMaintain case deadlines and ensure compliance with court scheduling ordersCoordinate hearings, mediations, depositions, and trial preparationCommunicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court staff, and expertsAssist the attorney with trial preparation and litigation strategy supportEnsure compliance with the Tennessee Rules of Civil Procedure and applicable local court rulesQualifications:Minimum of 3+ years of Tennessee family law paralegal experience preferredSignificant experience handling high-conflict family law litigationAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong case management and organizational skillsProficiency in drafting legal documents and managing discoveryAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and WordExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to multitask and prioritize in a deadline-driven environmentTrial preparation experienceFamiliarity with e-filing systems and legal case management softwareAbout CompanyCulpepper Law Group is a Law firm specializing in Family Law and Personal Injury.
