Senior Accountant
Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will perform accounting and reporting functions associated with private investments and other business entities managed by the company. Work from home four days per week!
Key Areas of Responsibilities:
Manage the full-cycle accounting activities for the company
Prepare monthly financial statements and review for proper accounting and reporting prior to review by executive management.
Reconcile investment and bank accounts monthly. Reconcile supporting schedules to financial statements.
Maintain financial policies, controls, and reporting systems to ensure a strong control environment and facilitate accurate financial reporting
Coordinate the monthly close process with the fund administrator
Assist in the annual audit process
Review investor statements
Review expense allocations to ensure compliance with company policies and fund documents
Participate in accounting and reporting for private operating businesses managed by the Company.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting with a minimum of 3 years of experience in financial statement reporting required
Public accounting experience preferred
Ability to solve problems and implement process improvements
Must have exceptional analytical skills and can have the ability to understand and analyze complex issues
Detail oriented, ability to plan, well organized, complete work with minimal supervision
High energy and highly motivated with the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities at the same time, in an efficient manner
Independent thinker, self-starter, and proficient problem-solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively with management and co-workers
