You will develop and execute our supply plan and releases, determining priorities and implementing strategies to reduce out-of-stock and excess stock issues. You will also help support our production schedule, taking into consideration the forecasted demand for finished items and our raw material needs.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain a long-term supply schedule/plan, taking into consideration the needs forecasted by our production planning teamResolve material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptionsRequest recovery plan if suppliers fall behind schedule and meet with suppliers to ensure plan is successfully implementedUse root cause analysis methods to help develop and implement workable solutions to support on time deliveries to support production requirementsAdvise suppliers of proper shipping methods to meet delivery deadlinesUtilize SAP tools to execute supplier schedules and monitor delivery for 100% on-time deliveryDaily interaction and communication with other functional areas purchasing supplier quality, production scheduling, and customer serviceTrack inventory of raw materials and optimize materials to avoid excess inventory levelsCreate and develop reports to analyze the health of supply base and develop strategies to continuously improve KPI’sUnderstand and adhere to current health, safety, and environmental policiesCommunicate and enforce safe work proceduresWhat We’re Looking ForThis position requires an associate degree or equivalent work experienceMust be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures regarding planning and schedulingA certain degree of creativity, experience and judgment is required to plan and accomplish goals Ability to perform a variety of complex tasks simultaneouslyMust have working knowledge and MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point)Must have working knowledge of MR/ERP systems and planning toolsPossess ability to communicate verbally and maintain concise and accurate written documentationEffective listening skills are requiredMust be able to follow instructions, safety rules and regulationsExperience in a manufacturing environment preferredSAP experience strongly preferredWhat We BelieveInclusion Respecting individualsIntegrity Honoring truthExcellence Focusing on resultsResponsibility Our commitmentCollaboration Building trustSafety This position will adhere to the BorgWarner Environmental Health and Safety Program by following all safety rules, procedures, practices, training, and safe use of equipment; this includes use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
