Senior Public Engagement ManagerLocation: Central FloridaEmployment Type: W2 ContractJob SummaryThe Senior Public Engagement Manager leads strategic outreach efforts for customer-facing infrastructure projects within an assigned service territory. Projects may include electrical infrastructure enhancements, substation improvements, and underground utility initiatives.This role requires extensive experience collaborating with technical teams and externally facing stakeholders across all organizational levels. The position involves coordinating complex internal and external communications and working independently with minimal supervision.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage comprehensive strategic public engagement plansPrepare, coordinate, and distribute written communications to property owners and project stakeholdersManage, track, and respond to external inquiries related to assigned projectsMaintain accurate documentation and project communication recordsPartner with internal teams to ensure effective communication and smooth project executionParticipate in project meetings, including field reviews, pre-construction meetings, and customer interactions onsiteCollaborate with community and government relations representatives to determine appropriate public engagement strategiesCoordinate development of communication materials (letters, presentations, informational collateral) in partnership with internal departments such as communications, legal, engineering, and project managementOversee printing and mailing of external communicationsLead planning and execution of public information meetingsBasic QualificationsBachelor’s degree AND minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experienceORHigh school diploma/GED AND minimum of seven (7) years of relevant professional experienceRequiredValid driver’s licensePreferred QualificationsExperience supporting infrastructure or utility-related projectsExperience presenting to and communicating with external audiencesAbility to manage escalated situations and diverse stakeholder groupsStrong written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge of project management principlesExperience in regulated industries (e.g., utilities, energy, infrastructure)Strong organizational and planning skillsNegotiation experienceProficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsExperience working with community organizationsAbility to lead cross-functional teamsDemonstrated conflict resolution and problem-solving skillsAbility to interact effectively with employees, management, customers, vendors, and service providers at all levelsExperience supporting mid- and senior-level leadershipProject and event planning experienceBudget management experienceWorking ConditionsAvailability for local travel and occasional after-hours eventsFrequent travel to field or construction sites to meet with crews and customersAvailability for on-call support as neededField-based role requiring mobility within the assigned service areaMust reside within a reasonable commuting distance of assigned work locationAdditional DetailsStandard work schedule: 40 hours per weekOvertime: May be required periodically (estimated 1–5 hours per week when applicable)Business expenses: 100% reimbursable in accordance with company policyThe pay for this W-2 position ranges from $60-$62 per hour.
