Today, our employees in four offices (Austin, Dallas, Denver, and Houston) are closing in on our 6,000th client!If you enjoy:Developing innovative strategies to improve revenue and profitabilitySolving thorny problems for a variety of companies and industriesNetworking with other executives and developing new business opportunitiesJuggling three to five widely varied clients at a timeSeizing the initiative to develop new business with an existing clientCommunicating with and educating clientsLeading small teamsLifelong learningCollaborating with brilliant, deeply experienced peers who come from such widely diverse backgrounds you just won’t believe itEngaging with local nonprofit and community organizationsHaving the support of your firm’s executives, industry-leading best practices, and an employee-led culture of people-first, integrity, and accountabilityYou will love working at vcfo!As a Consulting Controller for vcfo, you will:Work with vcfo team members and partner with leadership teams at companies based in and around AustinEngage with the client’s team, adapting to a variety of client environments and industriesGeneration of timely and accurate monthly financial statementsManage full accounting cycleCreation and maintenance of corporate forecastsExperience managing other accounting staff and/or working in a team environmentWork on multiple, significantly varied client engagements at one timeAssisting in the financial preparation of Board packagesDevelopment of financial policies and proceduresProviding guidance and leadership in the enhanced use of ERP systems, conversions, and/or the selection of future software as required to support financial operationsRequirements:BBA in Accounting or Finance required, MBA or CPA a plus7+ years of progressive leadership experienceAbility to lead and effectively manage Assistant Controllers and junior level accounting professionalsLeadership in the development of financial policies and proceduresIn depth experience with accounting software packages including QuickBooks, NetSuite, Intacct, or other mid-market accounting packagesEmploy an entrepreneurial spirit and harness our training and coaching to expand business networks and find leads for new client workExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage accounting staff in a team environmentAs a Consulting Controller for vcfo, you will serve as a respected and trusted advisor to our clients.
