Job ID: 2612217Location: Rock Island, IL, USDate Posted: 2026-05-05Category: Defense/IntelSubcategory: Military OperationsSchedule: Full-TimeShift: Day JobTravel: Yes - 50% of the timeMinimum Clearance Required: SecretClearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain: NonePotential for Remote Work: ORA_ON_SITEDescriptionSAIC is currently seeking a SR Military Advisor to join our team at Rock Island Arsenal, IL.Responsibilities:The selected candidate will participate as part of team focused on emerging threat analysis, TTPs (Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures), and Mobilization Operations to provide operational and training plans in support of Command Guidance.The selected candidate will possess demonstrated experience, skills and in-depth knowledge of Army Operations, National Guard mobilizations, home-station training, and pre-/post-mobilization training requirements.As a SR Military Advisor, the candidate will participate in planning events, support staff in conferences and meetings, and provide advisement regarding operational events, training, and mobilizations.Candidate must be willing to work in the training environment and operational conditions. Work requirements may exceed the standard workday to include supporting 24-hour Army operations.CONUS travel up to 50% is required.QualificationsRequired Education:Bachelors and fifteen (15) years or more of related experience; Masters and thirteen (13) years or more experience; PhD or JD and ten (10) years or more experience.Required Qualifications:Active DoD Secret Clearance required.Experience in Army Tactical Operations Experience in Army Mobilization operations, and Large Scale Combat OperationsDemonstrated Army Operations experience is a must. Operational experience in a forward deployed battalion (or higher) Desired Qualifications:Understanding of the Sustainment Readiness/ReARMM ModelUnderstanding of National Guard mobilization processesKnowledge of Defense Support for Civil Authorities (DSCA) operationsKnowledge of Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) training.Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000.
