Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Springfield, IL Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,290 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 5/11/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intermediate Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Must have an active Illinois license to apply Certifications: ACLS and BLS required Must-Have: - Experience in MS/Telemetry, Telemetry, Cardiac Tele, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown - Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage dysrhythmias - Experience in telemetry monitoring - Skills in post-cardiac procedures and hemodialysis management - Proficient in IV therapy and phlebotomy Description: The position requires caring for patients in an intermediate care environment. The average daily census is approximately 38 patients. Candidates with a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience are preferred. First-time travelers will be considered. Weekend work is required, approximately every other weekend. Floating to like units may be necessary to meet facility needs. Discussion of schedule requests can be held with the manager regarding block scheduling. It is essential for candidates to possess relevant certifications. Experience with cardiac monitoring and emergency response is required. Candidates must have skills in the care and management of feeding tubes. Those applying should have experience with post-cardiac procedures. Required skills include arterial line management and blood product administration. Knowledge of isolation precautions and wound care is necessary. Previous charge experience is preferred. Experience in a teaching hospital and with trauma care is a plus. The facility supports interdisciplinary patient care. Candidates will work with various patient diagnoses, including heart failure and respiratory conditions. Special procedures on the unit include cardiac catheterizations and various surgeries. Candidates should be able to manage multiple types of medical equipment. Experience with ventilation support equipment is crucial. All candidates must be prepared for compliance with facility regulations and scheduling requirements. Floating within the facility is 100% required for all travelers. Candidates are expected to work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
