Our team has decades of automation experience, spanning hundreds of projects and thousands of automation configurations.Position Title(s): Lead Machine BuilderPosition Description: The Lead Machine Builder constructs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems for custom factory automation equipment. This role participates in the coordination and integration of equipment and involves liaising with mechanical design engineers, controls engineers, machining specialists and project managers in accordance with all applicable plans.Position Responsibilities:Read and interpret drawings and blueprints for the assembly of automation equipment Troubleshoot mechanical issuesDevise a plan for the build of complex assembliesManage time and expectations across multiple projects while demonstrating strong work ethic and commitment to quality Solve problemsWork well in a team environmentEnsure that changes and problems are documented and communicated properlyCoordinate the preparation of materials for secondary processesCommunicate clearly with team members on project progressEffectively and safely operate hand and power tools, mills, lathes, drill press, surface grinder, saws, and shearsMaintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work areasAbility to train and teach less experienced machine buildersRegular lifting of objects 50 lbs or moreChampion Our Operating Principles: You will be expected to actively embody and uphold our ten Operating Principles, which guide our every action and decision at Axis Automation.
