No matter where you are in your journey, Luminate Bank® is here to support you every step of the way.Position OverviewThe Non-QM Underwriter is responsible for underwriting and maintaining a pipeline while communicating with internal and external parties. Ensure documentation is accurate and compliant. The Non-QM Underwriter will be the main point of contact for credit conditions of the post-close pipeline. Maintains extensive guideline and product knowledge of all Non-QM lending while assisting with questions.Job ResponsibilitiesUnderwrite Non-QM products, including but not limited to Bank Statement Programs, , DSCR , Asset Depletion, Foreign National, and Self-Employment.Main point of contact for Non-QM post close credit pipeline.Maintain an underwriting pipeline of new loans and resubmissions that meet standard service level agreements.Evaluate and examine loan files to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with investor and internal guidelines to issue loan decisions.Communicate with operations, sales, business partners, maintaining a high level of customer service.Collaborate with the post-closing department on any stipulations for closed filesPerform other related duties as assigned.Participate in special projects and handle other duties as assigned by managementQualifications And Skills3+ years of mortgage underwriting experience.Experience with Non-QM Post-Close credit and manual underwriting.Excellent communication skillsEncompass LOS experience, a plus.Time management, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, WordEducationBachelor’s degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.BenefitsCompetitive compensation reliant on ability and experienceExcellent benefits package including health, pre tax HSA, FSA accounts and dental & visionLife and AD&D Insurance, as well as additional voluntary benefit possibilities401K with robust company matchFlexible PTO programEarned Sick & Safe Time (ESST)The opportunity to work for the Midwest’s fastest growing lenderWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in our company.
